    Dr. Geeta Rao Gupta is a globally recognized leader in gender equality, public health, and international development. She served as the United States Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues from May 2023 to January 2025, leading the State Department’s Office of Global Women’s Issues.

    Prior to her ambassadorship, Dr. Rao Gupta served as Deputy Executive Director at UNICEF and President of the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW).
